Blacked Eyed Blonde- How many groups do you know that can drift from Love Shack, to Folsom Blues, touch a little Short Skirt, kick it on a Red Hot Chili Pepper cut and then floor you with a little bit of Otis Redding’s To Hard to Handle… and do it with style? Well that’s what you will get when you drop in on the Black Eyed Blonde at AJ’s. This tried and true rock band starts with the great vocals and punchy bass of Dan Collins, mix in Ken Gettingers as he carves out some classic rhythm and licks on his strat, add a generous portion of Brian Peet’s steady and driving drums, finish with a healthy serving of Amber Bradshaw as she sways to the beat and then belts some absolutely fantastic vocals, and you have now created the best magic potion to dance to on a Sunday through Wednesday Night at AJ’s.
